**Job Title**: Estimation Engineer (مهندس تقديرات)

**Location**: Dammam, Saudi Arabia

**Report To**: Executive Director of Engineering

**Job Purpose**

To prepare accurate cost estimates for projects by analyzing specifications, technical drawings, and contractual documents. Ensure competitive and profitable bids while adhering to Saudi building codes, standards, and client requirements.

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Cost Estimation**:

- Analyze RFQs, tender documents, drawings, BOQs, and technical specifications.
- Prepare detailed material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor cost estimates.
- Utilize estimation software (e.g., Candy, PlanSwift, BuildSoft) and Excel.
- **Vendor/Subcontractor Coordination**:

- Solicit quotes from local Saudi/Arab suppliers and subcontractors.
- Evaluate quotes for compliance and competitiveness.
- **Risk Analysis**:

- Identify project risks (logistics, market volatility, regulatory changes in KSA).
- Recommend contingencies and value-engineering solutions.
- **Bid Preparation**:

- Develop comprehensive bid proposals aligned with client requirements and Saudization policies.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and project teams.
- **Documentation**:

- Maintain audit-ready records of estimates, assumptions, and quotations.
- Ensure compliance with Saudi Standards (SASO), SBC, and client-specific standards.

**Qualifications & Experience**
- **Education**: Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- **Experience**:

- 5+ years in estimation, **preferably in GCC/KSA projects**.
- Proven track record in Construction and MEP sectors.
- **Technical Skills**:

- Expertise in estimation software (e.g., Candy, Primavera, AutoCAD).
- Advanced Excel, cost databases, and BIM familiarity (advantage).
- **Local Knowledge**:

- Understanding of Saudi labor/material markets, customs clearance, and logistics.
- Familiarity with Saudi contract laws (FIDIC variants) and Nitaqat/Saudization.
- **Nationality**: Saudi nationals or Arab expatriates (to align with Arabic documentation/client communication needs).
- **Language**:Fluency in Arabic (mandatory)** and professional English.
- **Soft Skills**:

- Analytical mindset, attention to detail, negotiation skills.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- **Cultural Fit**: Understanding of KSA business practices and client expectations.
