Assistant Diver Supervisor

Responsible administratively to the Diving Supervisor, the position bears the full responsibilities of a Supervisor. Assist the overall responsibilities and activities of the diving including the offshore work programme.
- Liaise with client’s representative in the absence of the Diving Supervisor.
- Ensuring all operational/diving activities undertaken comply with relevant legislative directives and are in accordance with the Company diving/operational manuals and safety memoranda.
- Ensures implementation of the Company’s health and safety policy is undertaken by all Company employees
- Ensures that personnel arriving on board the vessel are fully briefed regarding the work programme, dive system, operation and safety requirements in force on the vessel.
- Ensures that a safety meeting is convened and its minutes were recorded in accordance with the HSE manual.
- Maintains a close operational communication with Diving Operations Manager.
- Implements, maintains and documents routine and preventive maintenance/
- Certification programmes regarding the diving system and support equipment in accordance with safe working practice.
- Action any corrective measures as defined by any documented audits and/or inspections carried out by safety department pertaining to personnel, the work site and supporting equipment.
- Ensures that Diving Operations are conducted from a suitable and safe place on the surface, in accordance with any “Permit to Work” system.
- Keeps an accurate personal logbook.
- Ensures that all diving personnel on board are qualified, have a valid in date medical certificate and are capable of carrying out the assigned task safely.
- Fully conversant with all diving procedures i.e. decompression tables and medical treatment.
- To always protect oneself, colleagues, worksites, equipment and environment.

**HSE Responsibilities**
- Ensures that all hazards are identified, risk assessment has been carried out and risk controls are implemented.
- Ensures implementation of the Company’s health and safety policy is undertaken by all Company employees and carry out a risk assessment exercise before new operation.
- Ensures that personnel arriving on board the vessel are fully briefed regarding the work programme, dive system, operation and safety requirements in force on the vessel.

**Requirements**:
**Education**

Relating University or equivalent Degree.

The following Certificates:

- IMCA trainee Diving Supervisor Ticket.
- HSE Part 1 or Equivalent.
- Diving First Aid.

**Experience**
- 5 years of experience in the offshore diving preferred in Oil & Gas and or related industry.
- Age from 28 - 55 Years

**Competencies**
- Shall have enough knowledge, experience and training in various diving operations.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
