**Role overview**
The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for managing the full Accounts Payable cycle and ensuring compliance. The Accounts Payable Specialist plays a crucial role in managing the company’s financial obligations, maintaining positive vendor relationships, and ensuring accuracy and integrity of Accounts Payable transactions.

**Main Responsibilities**
- Process accounts payable invoices and ensure timely and accurate payments to vendors.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounts payable records in accordance with accounting standards.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Ensure credit notes are accurately received and documented.
- Communicate with vendors to resolve any issues related to payments or invoices.
- Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable, including reconciliations and accruals.
- Prepare accounts payable aging reports and support the Treasury ops team in processing the payments.
- Provide support for other finance functions as needed.
- Oversee petty cash, corporate cards, and the accurate recording and documentation of all expenses.

**Qualifications**
- Must have a minimum of 3 years work experience as an Accountant
- Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables
- Experience with general ledger functions
- Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
- Must be a holder of any Accounting, Finance or relevant degree.
- Hands-on experience with accounting software like ZohoBooks and QuickBooks is a major plus
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively
