Factory Manager

Job Summary

The Stone Factory Manager is responsible for overseeing daily factory operations, including production, quality control, maintenance, workforce management, and safety. The role ensures efficient manufacturing of stone products while meeting quality standards, delivery timelines, and cost targets.

Key Responsibilities Operations & Production
- Manage daily factory operations for stone cutting, polishing, fabrication, and finishing.
- Plan and monitor production schedules to meet customer orders and deadlines.
- Optimize production efficiency and minimize material waste.
- Coordinate with sales and project teams on order priorities and delivery timelines.

Quality Control
- Ensure all stone products meet company and customer quality standards.
- Implement quality checks for raw materials, processing, and finished products.
- Handle quality issues, rework, and corrective actions.

Workforce Management
- Supervise factory staff, including operators, technicians, and supervisors.
- Assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure proper manpower utilization.
- Conduct training on machinery operation, safety, and quality standards.
- Enforce discipline, attendance, and factory policies.

Maintenance & Equipment
- Ensure proper operation and maintenance of factory machinery and tools.
- Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance to reduce downtime.
- Report equipment issues and manage spare parts requirements.

Health, Safety & Compliance
- Enforce health, safety, and environmental regulations inside the factory.
- Ensure safe handling of stone slabs, chemicals, and machinery.
- Conduct safety briefings and incident reporting.

Inventory & Cost Control
- Monitor raw material, consumables, and finished goods inventory.
- Control production costs and reduce wastage.
- Coordinate with purchasing for materials, tools, and consumables.

Reporting & Coordination
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.
- Report operational performance to senior management.
- Coordinate with logistics, procurement, and sales departments.

Requirements & Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or related field (preferred).
- Minimum **4-6 years of experience** in stone, marble, granite, or quartz factory operations or any similar filed.
- Strong knowledge of stone processing machinery and techniques.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Good understanding of production planning, quality control, and safety standards.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
