As Design Manager, you will be a specialized part of multidisciplinary project teams, responsible for developing various types of real estate assets. The Design Manager will primarily be responsible for ensuring alignment between project requirements and land availability. Further, the Design Manager will review design proposals from consultants, ensure revision control for _design & build_ tenders and pick up on lessons learned for design of executed projects.

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare pre-concept scope drawings based on tenant´s initial input.
- Compare requirements with available land plots to identify suitable location.
- Identify, contract and cooperate with suitable expert consultants.
- Work closely with Project Managers to define concept scope.
- Clarify interfaces towards public/common utilities.
- Engage in technical clarifications towards operators, tenants, authorities and contractors.
- Identify and propose value engineering initiatives.
- Ensure timely completion of construction projects in accordance with agreed scope.
- Cooperate with department team members to optimize internal processes and workflows.
- Promote and enforce a culture of safety on construction sites, ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations in relation to work force, standards and building codes.
- Ensure compliance with DSV Code of Conduct as well as DSV Human Rights Policy at any given time.
- Integrate sustainable practices into construction projects aligning with the assigned programs commitment to environmental responsibility.
- Implement initiatives that reduce carbon footprint and enhance resource efficiency.
- Identify and mitigate project risks.**Educational Qualifications & Work Experience**:

- Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, urban planning or similar
- Minimum 5 years of postgraduate experience with a consultancy or _design & build_ contractor
- General knowledge of commercial construction, preferred within logistics and manufacturing
- Proven track record of leading successful projects and initiatives.**Competencies**
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to plan, execute, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Cultural understanding coupled with excellent interpersonal and communication skills towards stakeholders from various geographical, cultural and professional backgrounds.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving aptitude to address complex challenges.
