**Responsibilities**:
1. **Financial Record Keeping**:

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software.
- Record day-to-day financial transactions and ensure completeness and accuracy.

2. **Tax Management**:

- Tax Reporting & Calculation: Review monthly and quarterly reports to ensure the correct VAT and Withholding Tax amounts are calculated and submitted on time.
- Tax Compliance & Filings: Ensure the company stays compliant with tax regulations and manage the accurate filing of VAT, WHT, and other required filings.

3. **Month-end Close**:

- Assist in the preparation and execution of month-end close procedures.
- Reconcile and analyze balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy.

4. **Financial Reporting**:

- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and presentations.
- Provide timely and accurate financial information to support decision-making processes.

5. **Compliance**:

- Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors during financial audits.

6. **Accounts Payable and Receivable**:

- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Process vendor invoices, employee expenses, and customer payments.

7. **Budgeting and Forecasting**:

- Support the Financial Manager in budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Provide financial insights and analysis to assist in strategic planning.

8. **Cross-functional Collaboration**:

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial information and insights.
- Communicate effectively with team members to address financial queries.
- Assist the Financial Manager in variety of other management tasks as available.

**Requirements**:
**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or similar ACCA certifications.
- Proven experience as an Accountant, preferably in a startup or high-growth environment.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail as well as organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong written and verbal English and Arabic communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.

**Type of employment**: Full time

**Schedule**: 8 hours shift, 6 working days/week.

**Work location**: KAUST Research and Technology Park, Thuwal, Saudi Arabia.

**Transportation**:Daily shuttles between Jeddah and KAUST are available.
