**JOB PURPOSE**

BAE Systems is the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force aircraft and train RSAF personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons.

Responsible for Coordination and Scheduling all of the Operations, Aircrew Training, Maintenance and Facility requirements, for both the Aircrew Training Devices (ATD) and Mission Support Systems (MSS), associated with the delivery of the RSAF Tornado Operations & Training Services required under the Tornado Support Service (TSS) Statement of Work (SoW).

**JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES**

**The post holder is responsible for**:

- Efficient coordination & scheduling of the ATD and MSS activities being completed in support of the delivery of the TSS Tornado Operations and Training Services, including timely communication with relevant stakeholders and the accurate monitoring and recording of these activities.
- Liaison with and briefing RSAF Customer representatives, at KAAB, on activities relating to the delivery of the TSS Tornado Operations & Training Services.
- Acting as a point of contact for daily operational direction for the Company senior management, the ATD Aircrew Supervisors, the ATD & MSS RSAF liaison personnel and the the BAE Systems / Sub-Contractor workforce.
- Shall take the leading role in day-to-day management of operations and maintenance activities within the scope of the ATD and MSS Services and provide effective delivery. A key supporter to enable the delivery of a high standard of aircrew instructional training utilising fit-for-purpose ATDs.
- Supporting the Head of Tornado Operations & Training in the delivery of all aspects of the TSS Operations & Training Services project. This support shall include collating and providing all of the necessary review material and data for the RSAF Customer. In addition, responsible for the accurate reporting of all KPIs, PIs, along with the timely provisioning of any key deliverables
- Supporting to the Head of Tornado Operations & Training in the BAE Systems recruitment processes and all ATD & MSS Product safety related issues
- Provision of timely, considered advice to the Head of Tornado Operations & Training on the efficient delivery of the Tornado Operations & Training Services
- Participate in any emerging business opportunities for BAE Systems and interface on all aspects of the ATD Training delivery with Head of Tornado Operations & Training and project directors as required
- Under the direction of the Head of Tornado Operations & Training, and the relevant functional PM, is responsible for supporting a relevant and effective suite of Project Management structures to control, monitor, and report on the TSS Operations & Training Services within the defined scope of the SoW
- Providing regular support to the Head of Flying - KSA Tornado as and when needed.

**RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION**

**The post holder must**:

- Have proven experience of managing Customers, Contractors, Vendors and support teams in the delivery of complex project requirements
- Possess the ability to work on own initiative within guidelines provided by Company line management
- Have a recognized ability to deliver against commitments and meet the expectations of customer and business alike.
- Have extensive experience in a military or business leadership position.
- Possess knowledge of Maintenance / Contractor Management and Supply Chain integration

**Desirable**:

- Be familiar with RSAF Operations, RSAF Training, RSAF Safety and RSAF Quality systems
- Have experience of operating within a management team in a large complex programme
