Logistics Manager

The role is primarily the delivery of planning, phasing, co-ordinating and ensuring the phased and timely implementation of construction associated activities on a large scale multi-asset mixed use development.

**What this job involves**:
Assisting in planning the phased set-up and progress of the site so that the workforce, plant and materials can move around efficiently and safely.

Helping to organize routes into and through the site, off-loading points, remote lay-down areas and so on.

Ensuring the security of the site.

Traffic management and interface with third parties.

Overseeing the location and access to welfare facilities and other site accommodation.

Ensuring the site is well lit and safe for movement.

Liaising with contractors and subcontractors in accordance with the programme.

Ensuring materials can be brought to site as and when required.

Ensuring waste collection and disposal is kept to a minimum and that disposal procedures are implemented.

Ensure client satisfaction and superb relations

Ensure prompt issue resolution

Drive corrective actions or issues needing additional attention

Publish metrics measuring client, team, and individual performance

Participating in client & internal meetings

Manage and monitor the staff

Implement productivity improvements

Identify and manage technological advancements and interface with BIM Teams as required to develop graphical timeline and 3D/4D models of the logistics plans

Making sure that safety equipment such as PPE is available on site.

Maintaining fire points and equipment.

Maintaining information communication system around the site, such as site signage, walkways, etc

Liaising with project suppliers and managing all movements to and from the site.

Planning and maximizing the use of delivery vehicles.

**Desired skills and experience for this role**:
Degree Qualification is preferred but not essential.

Professional Memberships are an advantage but not essential (CIOB or CILT).

Experience in managing on site logistics in the region.

Major international project experience is preferred.

Excellent written and verbal skills with a fluent proficiency in English.

International safety qualification / recognition an advantage but not essential.
