**Context**:
Planned to be the world’s largest floating industrial complex ,the Neom Industrial City will be a 7km-wide floating city that will be home to the world’s ‘first fully automated port and integrated logistics hub’.

We are currently recruiting for a **Lead Geotechnical Engineer **for our NEOM program, who will be responsible for evaluating the composition and extent of each soil type and preparing recommendations to other disciplines regarding foundation types, site preparation, and suitability for industrial, support, and residential development as developing a new master plan to guide the development of one of the largest industrial projects.

**Main duties**:

- Have sufficient experience for the Geotechnical design by using the Geotech. Software and modeling by Plaxis 2D ,3D, Hole Base and Civil 3D. Slope Stability.
- Perform the geotechnical responsibilities and activities for the Engineering Department, Master Planning and the Port team.
- Collect, gather and analyze the geotechnical data, meet with local Authorities, Agencies, and prepare the geotechnical reports
- Conduct soil investigation, research, and study soil and evaluate its suitability for foundations.
- Assess construction sites, conduct lab tests, create designs for structures.
- Manage the risk of geotechnical hazards and make sure any factors affecting engineering works are identified and managed.
- Advising on the geotechnical procedures required and the suitability of the construction materials.
- Preparation of scopes of work for different geotechnical studies.
- Evaluation of geotechnical data.
- Assisting with the design of built structures, using specialized software or calculations
- Provide recommendations for site work, foundation types, earth works, and provide suitability.
- Manage of geotechnical studies.
- Assessing the suitability of various soils for industrial development.
- Other work typical of the geotechnical disciplines

**Degrees**:

- Bachelor degree in Civil engineering

**Technical skills**:

- A thorough knowledge of geotechnical engineering works, testing and design utilizing special soil/structure interaction software such as (SFAE, PLAXIS, VDISP, Repute, gINT, FREW, Slope/W, etc.).
- The ability to effectively communicate ideas to other team members, as well as an understanding of the requirements of related design disciplines to effectively produce geotechnical related designs
