**Job Summary**: As a Draftsman specializing in wood and modular construction, you will play a key role in the design and development of structures using wood and modular building techniques. You will work closely with architects, engineers, and project managers to create detailed drawings and plans that guide the construction process and ensure the successful completion of projects.Responsibilities:

- Drafting and Design: Create detailed 2D and 3D drawings, plans, and blueprints for wood and modular construction projects using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
- Develop conceptual designs and collaborate with architects and engineers to translate design concepts into technical drawings.
- Material Selection: Assist in the selection of appropriate materials and components for wood and modular construction, considering factors such as structural integrity, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability.
- Code Compliance: Ensure that all drawings and plans comply with building codes, zoning regulations, and other relevant standards and requirements.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices related to wood and modular construction.
- Coordination: Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to incorporate design changes, resolve technical issues, and ensure the smooth progression of projects.
- Review and incorporate feedback from clients and project teams into design revisions as needed.
- Documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate documentation of design revisions, specifications, and project milestones.
- Create and update drawing sets, construction documents, and technical manuals for use by construction teams and subcontractors.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct quality checks on drawings and plans to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to project requirements.
- Assist in reviewing shop drawings and submittals from contractors and suppliers to verify compliance with design specifications.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to optimize design solutions, streamline processes, and enhance project efficiency.
- Participate in design review meetings and provide technical support to project teams as needed.

**Education**: Bachelor's degree or diploma in Architectural Drafting, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred. Relevant experience and specialized training may be considered.
