he Construction Director is a senior management position within Arcadis career family. To drive standards throughout all construction activities across the program. Ensuring that projects across all service lines are delivered in a consistent manner to high standards in order to meet Client expectations whilst also achieving Arcadis internal performance criteria.

ole accountabilities:
T

aking a leading role in health, safety and risk management practices, identifying and acting to resolve any non-conformance matters.
A
- ctively support the Managing Directors, Business Unit Directors, SHEQ Director, Country HSE Managers, Construction Managers and Project Directors drive high standards through our supervsion projects.
A
- cting as a senior point of contact for Arcadis with our Clients representatives

- e aware of regional budget targets for supervision services, monitor performance with Construction Managers/Project Directors, taking appropriate action when necessary
A
- ttend regular meetings with Clients, taking appropriate action to support Client needs as necessary

- onduct project reviews with Construction Managers/Project Directors

- anage project review actions and mitigate any significant risk to ensure project performance is maintained
P
- rogressively improve site supervision operating procedures, identify, test and implement new initiatives to enhance the service offering
M
- onitor internal and external audit results. Review findings to evaluate areas for improvement and address any significant non conformances

- e fully conversant with Arcadis Project Management procedures

- rovide Contract Administration and general support to Construction Managers / Project Directors

- eview recruitment needs across region and staff utilization. Direct staff movements between Countries

- eview cross use of resources to other business lines and direct staff movements

- onitor in Country staff movements ensuring best fit resource for project

- eview regional master resource schedules to ensure accuracy

- otivate and mentor Construction Managers/Project Directors

- onitor annual staff performance review process

- dentify training needs and manage training programme

- anage staff underperformance issues

- dentify high performers and manage succession planning

ualifications & Experience:

- achelor’s Degree in relevant professional discipline

- rofessional Membership preferred

- 5 years post graduate experience

- inimum 7 years’ experience in Country

- roficient knowledge of Professional Services Agreements

- roficient knowledge of Standard Forms of Construction Contracts

- roficient commercial and risk management skills

- roficient in the management of mass resources
