Major Responsibilities & Duties performed:

- To work in Shifts or in general shift as per requirement / assignment.
- As a team member to strive and improve the dept. KPI.
- Requires and review job orders for each significant definitive work request.
- Assigns jobs order & required material to labour and Material coordinators.
- Assures job order has proper approval and priority.
- Prepares weekly forecast and attends weekly departmental forecast meeting.
- Prepares daily schedule for maintenance foreman/craftsman.
- Receives and processes daily schedule and late (done) report from yesterday.
- Enter job order into SAP-P M to accept changes and close when completes.
- Facilitates maintenance activities with production and other stake holders.
- Maintain integrity of unit PM program i.e. Checklist, Trigger, Frequency, Compliance etc. and schedules.
- Establishes and maintains: Equipment, equipment part catalogue, equipment’s history, store-room min/max level.
- Raise stores and purchase requisitions for planned jobs.
- Review actual vs. planned job order and report.
- Identifies recurring maintenance problems.
- Facilitates maintenance performance parameters for unit.
- Helps with budget preparations.
- To prepare SOP’s for regular jobs.
- Responsible for performance evaluation of employees on yearly basis for his assigned team.
- Responsible to give departmental planned safety training to foreman/craftsman and documentation.
- Responsible to report any breakdown, unsafe act, accident, incident, nearmiss and hazardous condition to concerned.
- Responsible to take corrective and preventive actions in his assigned area /shift breakdowns by consulting with superiors.
- Responsible for spares/repairing jobs in his assigned area.
- Accountable for all breakdowns in his assigned area and responsible for rectifying the problem.
- To understand and follow the organizational HS&E policies.
- To follow safety instructions related to their jobs.
- To report damaged PPE, unsafe machines or equipment to concerned staff.
- To keep the provided PPEs in good, workable conditions.
- To avoid any horseplay and abuse of safety devices, equipment and welfare facilities.
- To attend safety trainings planned for them.
- Having a right to say “NO” to any unsafe work.
- Experience in Steel melt shop equipment maintenance having, Arc Furnance (DC arc furnace expereince prefered), material handling system, Fume extraction system, CCM, Recirculation Pump house and maintenance, EOT cranes. Have experience in preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, schedule maintenance. CAPA. Kizen developments etc. usual to steel melt shop
