The HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) Specialist is responsible for ensuring that the organization complies with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as implementing effective policies and procedures to protect employees, customers, and the environment. The HSE Specialist will work closely with management, employees, and regulatory agencies to identify and manage risks, implement controls, and continuously improve HSE performance.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement HSE policies and procedures in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations and best practices.
- Conduct regular HSE audits and inspections to identify potential hazards, risks, and compliance issues, and develop and implement corrective and preventative actions as necessary.
- Collaborate with management and employees to identify HSE training needs and provide appropriate training and resources to promote a culture of safety and environmental awareness.
- Work closely with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, and maintain appropriate permits and licenses.
- Monitor and report on HSE performance metrics, and develop and implement improvement plans as necessary.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and develop and implement corrective and preventative actions to reduce the likelihood of recurrence.
- Maintain and update HSE records and documentation, including incident reports, training records, and regulatory filings.
- Coordinate emergency response and crisis management activities, and ensure that all relevant stakeholders are informed and prepared for emergencies.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in HSE management or a related field.
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal HSE regulations and best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and manage risks and develop effective controls and solutions.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with management, employees, and regulatory agencies.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in the use of HSE management software and databases.
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) preferred.
