The Role
We currently have an opening for a Senior Project Engineer (Technical Lead/Manager) within our Implementation Service Provider ISP Delivery Support team. In this position you provide technical support to ISP (3rd party) delivery teams implementing the monarch system. Support activities will include includes monarch implementation, database display conversion, data mapping, requirements verification, testing, issue resolution and SCADA system administration. The PE lead will ensure other team members are supporting their ISPs issues and provide technical assistance as needed. The lead will also communicate with leadership on ISP delivery progress and ISPs with technical resource issues. Experience with OSI’s monarch SCADA platform is preferred.
Your Impact
As an ISP Delivery Support Project Engineer, you will have the following responsibilities:
- Assist an ISPs Project Engineer (PE) in the installation, upgrading or patching of the monarch system.
- Serve as the technical lead for the ISP Delivery Support team.
- Support the ISP team with SCADA centric engineering duties through the life cycle of a project, including support of field issues and programming support if necessary.
- Provide SCADA expertise and guidance on energy storage, coal, natural gas, nuclear, solar and wind power systems during the planning, design, development, deployment and operational phases.
- Support questions with the ISP PE on
- SCADA requirements
- Test case creation
- Ensure SCADA requirements and expectations are clear.
- Ensure the SCADA engineered system is installed and tested per SCADA engineering documents.
- Support ISP team SCADA display conversion and data mapping questions and issues.
- Lead the team of Project Engineers to provide support to assigned clients.
- Coach and develop employees within the ISP program by consistently demonstrating strong behavioral and leadership skills.
What You'll Need
- Minimum of 3-5 years managing employees.
- Strong command line utilities, Scripting (general), Windows, XML & JSON knowledge and an ability to help other PE resources with these skills.
- Experience with python, Linux, C/C++, Web Technologies, Bash/Batch.
- Fundamental database (Oracle, SQL Server, Postgres) knowledge.
- Strong knowledge in SCADA, RTU/PLCs, HMIs.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical or computer engineering (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience with OSI monarch product and/or SCADA systems is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with common substation SCADA protocols
- Ability to travel up to 25%, mainly domestic.
- Superior interpersonal and communication skills.
