Description

The **Solution Engineer** provides customers with professional, timely, accurate and effective proposals to provide SITA services. The Solution Engineer drives new business opportunities by leveraging knowledge of information technologies and of the air transport industry. The role produces cost effective, deliverable solutions to customers, based on a detailed pre-sales review of customer requirements, strong product knowledge and applicable professional services. The commercial goals are to increase the overall customer satisfaction, to expand new business revenue, and to promote continuing revenue retention.

**What you will do**
- Be the prime interface to customers on technical matters and lead customer engagements from initial contact to solution deployment.
- Establish and maintain a professional relationship with customers.
- Work with customers to better understand their business and develop sound solutions to meet the customer's business requirements.
- Work closely with Account Managers/Directors & Business Development to develop sales and accounts development strategies.
- Promote SITA by furnishing customers with comprehensive up-to-date information on current products product enhancements and new solutions through customer meetings and workshops.
- Design and co-ordinate the development of business solutions which may involve multiple parties both internally and externally.
- Support the technical qualification of customers' communication needs through knowledge of current new or evolving technologies and SITA solution portfolios.
- Liaise with various internal stakeholders such as Pricing, Customer Service, Project Management and Bid Management to build business case for customer proposals;
- Own the technical and commercial parts of proposals submitted to customers.
- Work closely with project manager to ensure efficient transfer of projects for implementation.
- Collect and report on all customer service subscription parameters in order to analyze and identify potential customers' requirements and proactively work with customers to source for new opportunities.
- Interact with colleagues to gain and share ideas and opportunities provide coaching and mentoring in pre-sales activities.

**Qualifications**:
**Who you are**
- Engineering degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Communications, or equivalent.
- Very good command of English & Arabic languages - written & spoken
- Relevant Air Transport or Technical certifications are a plus
- 8 to 12 years of experience in Information Technology, Telecom Industry, or Air Transport Industry technology in a technical role.
- Proven track record in producing, communicating, and documenting successful technical customer solutions proposals.
- Preference for people who have previous experience working with Airports, Airport Authorities, Airlines ground/airport operations departments.
- Pre-Sales Business and or Commercial experience is a plus
- Knowledge of Airport technologies such as passenger processing, biometrics, baggage processing and Airport operational systems.
- Good understanding of communications infrastructure aspects, constraints, and dependencies
- Knowledge of technical and commercial aspects of the Air Transport Industry a plus
- Knowledge of SITA solutions/products a plus
- Capable of interacting with key decision makers
