We're looking for passionate, high-spirted individuals to join the pre-opening team at Kimpton Riyadh, the very first Kimpton hotel in the Middle East. **About Kimpton Riyadh**
Located in King Abdullah Financial District which is set in the heart of the Saudi capital, 22-kilometers away from the airport, Kimpton Riyadh is the first Kimpton in the Middle East bringing the brand’s playful energy, infectious personality, and unique design style to this LEED certified landmark development home to 1.6 million square meters of state-of-the-art office space, world-class venues and iconic luxury residences. The hotel welcome guests to experience its 212 guest rooms and suites and to enjoy its unique dining options.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Menu Development**: Design and curate an authentic and contemporary American menu, incorporating both classic and modern culinary techniques.
- **Kitchen Leadership**: Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency, consistency, and high-quality food preparation. Lead, mentor, and develop kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
- **Quality Control**: Maintain the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and taste. Implement and uphold strict hygiene and sanitation protocols in compliance with local health regulations.
- **Inventory Management**: Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular stock checks, and liaise with suppliers to source the finest and freshest ingredients. Manage food costs and minimize waste through effective planning and forecasting.
- **Collaboration**: Work closely with the Food & Beverage Manager and other department heads to ensure seamless service delivery and enhance guest satisfaction. Participate in menu tastings, promotional events, and contribute to marketing initiatives.

**What we need from you**
Ideally, you'll have some or all of the following competencies and experience we're looking for:
- **Experience**: A minimum of 5 years in a senior culinary role in an International Luxury Hotel chain, with at least 2 years as a Chef de Cuisine or similar position in a high-end American cuisine restaurant. GCC exposure is preferred.
- **Education**: Culinary degree or equivalent professional training from a recognized institution.
- **Skills**: Exceptional culinary skills with a deep understanding of American cooking techniques and trends. Strong leadership and team management abilities. Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- **Languages**: English fluency is required. Arabic fluency preferred.
- **Attributes**: Creative, innovative, and passionate about culinary arts. Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment and adapt to changing guest preferences.

In addition to the tasks outlined above, all team members are expected to demonstrate flexibility and a collaborative spirit. This may involve taking on additional responsibilities as needed, especially during periods of high occupancy or in emergency situations. Your willingness to assist colleagues and contribute to the overall success of the hotel is essential in maintaining our high standards of service and guest satisfaction.
