Electrical Draftsman

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Prepare drawing transmittals, revision logs, and drawing issue registers for submission to consultants and clients.
- Coordinate with electrical engineers, mechanical draftsmen, and civil teams to ensure drawings are fully integrated and free of clashes
- Participate in technical coordination meetings to resolve drawing and interface issues.
- Maintain organized documentation of all drafts, revisions, and project files, ensuring proper version control.
- Prepare single-line diagrams (SLDs), load schedules, cable schedules, and schematic diagrams for LV and MV systems.
- Produce shop drawings and as-built drawings in coordination with site teams and consultants.
- Incorporate feedback and comments from design reviews, site inspections, and consultants into updated drawings.
- Participate in technical coordination meetings to resolve drawing and interface issues.
- Maintain organized drawing records and ensure all revisions are tracked, updated, and issued through document control procedures.
- Follow company standards for title blocks, drawing numbering, layering, and line weights to maintain consistency.
- Ensure all drawings comply with relevant codes and standards (e.g., IEC, NEC, SEC, SASO, or project-specific standards).
- Implement QA/QC checks before submission to ensure completeness, accuracy, and consistency.
- Adhere to company and industry standards and regulations in all drafted materials.
- Provide accurate quantities and material take-offs from drawings to assist procurement teams.
- Coordinate with site engineers to update as-built markups and reflect actual field conditions.
- Assist in preparing shop drawing submittal packages, including specifications, datasheets, and layouts.
- Follow HSSE procedures in office and site environments.
- Maintain confidentiality of project data, design information, and client documents.

**Requirements**:

- Associate's degree or diploma in Autodesk AutoCAD.
- 7 - 12 years of relevant experience as an electrical draftsman in the construction or engineering industry.
- Proficient in AutoCAD (2D/3D) and familiar with Revit MEP, BIM 360, or Navisworks for coordination.
- Strong understanding of electrical principles, codes, and standards, including NEC.
- Ability to interpret engineering specifications and technical drawings accurately.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on producing high-quality and precise drawings.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with team members.
- Strong organizational skills with the capability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Basic understanding of electrical systems, circuits, and load distribution to support design intent.
