**Job Description**:
CHEP is currently recruiting in Saudi Arabia for a Traditional Trade & Asset Protection Manager. The role will be reporting to the Manager, Asset Management MENA, the purpose is to lead, organize and manage the Customer support representatives ensuring:
- we provide support to clients;
- integrity of the CHEP pooling system,
- client queries and control system issues are attended to quickly and effectively
- Enforce tight controls on Asset Controls.
- Identify and recover CHEP equipment in the possession of participating & non-participating distributors, emitters, retailer’s pallet dealers, and other unsigned companies or persons.
The Regional Team Lead, in collaboration with the customer relationship team will oversee & ensure the teams are working towards establishing new relationships with non-participating distributors.
Managing the following processes:
- Plan the activities, lead, motivate and train subordinate staff; to influence and obtain a high level of commitment by clients to operating the control system.
- Conducts and manages team to ensure quality back door visits and customer site visits
- Client training in equipment control procedures is shared by team members
- Customer equipment queries are resolved promptly
- Continuous visits and calls on non-participating distributors and pallet recycler locations to recover CHEP assets that have fallen out of the network is done.
- Team builds relationships with the non-participating distributors and local pallet recyclers.
- Debtor management
- Manage the collection of pallets
- Tracking and recovery of non-participating distributor transfers into the territory annually.
Audit process
- Conducting Risk and Control Audit at customer sites; include reconciling and resolving account queries
- Audits
- Assessing and monitoring customer site for effective controls
- Offer solutions to problems identified wrt equipment losses and damages.
- Provide assistance and training in implementing recommended changes.
- Prepare formal report on the findings and recommendations and submit to the customer and Business
- Report on Losses & surpluses and make recommendations into compensation to the manager, Asset Management MENA
- Ensuring all audits allocated is completed as per the deadlines
Reporting
- Overseeing the creation of a comprehensive set of reports to manage the effectiveness of the team
- Report on monthly KPI’s
**Requirements**:
- Essential: Matric or Grade 12 equivalent
- Preferable: Diploma or a relevant Supply Chain Degree
- General working experience: 5 years + in Managing staff and a customer service/ support environment.
- Industry-specific knowledge and/or experience in terms of logistics and supply chain management processes, preferably in the Retail Market Sector
- General Microsoft office and computer literacy
- Driver’s license essential for Pickup Trucks
- Good communication skills (English & Arabic)
- Systematic, accurate
- SAP / BW knowledge would be advantageous
- Self-starter who is highly motivated and able to work independently
Preferred Education
Bachelors - Business Administration/Management
Preferred Level of Work Experience
5 - 7 yearsHybrid Remote
