Construction Cost Estimator

**Responsibilities**:
1. **Cost Estimation**:
- Analyze project blueprints, specifications, and other documents to prepare accurate cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and other project components.
- Develop detailed quantity take-offs for various construction materials to ensure precise estimations.
2. **Market Research**:
- Conduct market research to stay updated on current material prices, labor rates, and equipment costs to ensure competitive and accurate bids.
- Maintain a database of suppliers and subcontractors with their pricing structures.
3. **Collaboration**:
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather relevant project information and requirements.
- Engage with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain quotes and clarify pricing details.
4. **Budget Development**:
- Assist in the development of project budgets and schedules based on estimates, ensuring alignment with client expectations and project objectives.
- Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options during the estimation process.
5. **Bid Preparation**:
- Prepare thorough and organized bid proposals that outline estimated costs, timelines, and project scope for submission to clients.
- Present bids to management and assist in the negotiation process with clients.
6. **Project Tracking**:
- Monitor ongoing project costs and compare them against estimates to identify variances and provide updates to project managers.
- Prepare cost reports throughout the project lifecycle, highlighting any discrepancies and recommending corrective actions.
7. **Documentation**:
- Maintain accurate and organized records of estimates, proposals, and contracts for future reference.
- Develop and maintain cost estimation templates and guidelines to streamline the estimation process.
8. **Continuous Improvement**:
- Participate in post-project evaluations to analyze costs vs. actual expenditures, identifying lessons learned to improve future estimates.
- Stay informed about industry trends and changes in construction methods that could impact cost estimation.
9. **Compliance and Standards**:
- Ensure that all estimates comply with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Follow company policies and procedures in all aspects of estimating and bidding.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience as a cost estimator in the construction industry.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in cost estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Pay: ﷼6,000.00 - ﷼10,000.00 per month
