**Responsibility:
**Focus Area**:
Ensuring accurate and reliable survey data to support various aspects of mining operations, process the volume calculations of reportable material movements and provide essential survey control for a variety of mining and total site needs, and detailed surveys of the mine workings.
**Operational / Functional**:
1. Process and analyze survey data to generate accurate topographical maps, volume calculations, and other relevant information for mine planning, design, and decision-making.
2. Prepare detailed survey reports and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders, including mining engineers, geologists, and project manager.
3. Work closely with mining engineers, geologists, and other departments to integrate survey data into mine planning, design, and production processes.
4. Collaborate with environmental and safety teams to ensure that surveying activities comply with regulatory requirements.
5. Establish and maintain quality control measures for survey data, ensuring precision and reliability in all surveying activities.
6. Analyze work processes and implement actions to improve own technical performance.
7. Stay updated on emerging surveying technologies and assess their applicability to improve mining survey processes.
8. Sound knowledge of company standards, procedures and methods.

**Qualification**:
- Bachelor’s degree in surveying, Geomatics, or related field. Advanced degree is a plus.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in surveying, with a focus on open-pit mining operations.
- Proficient in the use of surveying instruments, GPS, and advanced surveying software.
- In-depth knowledge of open-pit mining processes, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Problem-solving mindset and ability to make informed decisions in a dynamic mining environment.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to lead and inspire a team.
- Analysis and modelling of engineering components.
- Able to independently manage own work planning and delivery according to targets.
