Supervision Engineer Facade

Parsons is seeking a highly skilled and experienced **Supervising Engineer Facade**to join our team In this role you will be responsible for supervising and managing all aspects of the façade construction for a building project. This includes overseeing the installation of materials such as glass, cladding, curtain walls, and other exterior finishes. The role will ensure that the façade work is completed according to project specifications, design, safety regulations, and industry standards, while also coordinating with contractors, architects, and other project

**What You'll Be Doing**:

- Supervise the installation of façade systems, including glass facades, curtain walls, metal cladding, insulation, and external finishes.
- Ensure that the façade installation is executed in accordance with approved designs, shop drawings, and construction documents.
- Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and proper installation of façade materials.
- Perform regular site inspections to ensure that façade materials and workmanship meet quality standards and project specifications.
- Ensure that all façade installations are compliant with local building codes, safety regulations, and international standards.
- Work closely with project managers, architects, structural engineers, and other teams to ensure that the façade integrates seamlessly with other building systems (e.g., HVAC, lighting, structural elements).
- Resolve any clashes or coordination issues between the façade design and other trades (e.g., mechanical, electrical, plumbing).
- Supervise the testing of façade systems for compliance with performance criteria, such as weather-tightness, wind load resistance, and thermal efficiency.
- Ensure that the façade system performs according to the required specifications and address any deficiencies or failures promptly.
- Conduct final inspections of the completed façade system to ensure it meets design specifications, quality standards, and client expectations.
- Ensure that all punch list items are resolved before project completion and handover to the client.

**What Required Skills You'll Bring**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related field with 10 years experience in façade construction or installation, particularly with materials such as glass, cladding, curtain walls, and metal panels.
- In-depth knowledge of facade systems, including structural, thermal, and weather performance criteria.
- Familiarity with facade design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino) and facade engineering principles.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and quality control procedures related to façade installation.
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively with project teams, contractors, and clients.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to address site issues quickly and efficiently.
- Attention to detail to ensure that installations meet design specifications and quality standards.

**What Desired Skills You'll Bring**:

- Experience in high-rise building façade projects or large-scale commercial and residential developments.
- Familiarity with sustainable design practices in façades, including energy-efficient and environmentally-friendly materials and technologies.
- Knowledge of BIM (Building Information Modeling) for façade design and coordination.
- Experience in mock-up testing, material performance evaluation, and façade system integration.
