**JOB PURPOSE**

BAE Systems is the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force aircraft and train RSAF personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons.

**JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES**
- The role reports to the Head of Technical Support - Typhoon Programme.
- The role responsible to manage & develop engineers from Engineering Graduate Programme who are sponsored by Typhoon Programme.
- The role is responsible to support integration technical support management for all stakeholders: BAE Systems Saudi Arabia, other BAE Systems BU’s, MODSAP and particularly relevant RSAF DoAE and DoAM staff.
- Act as the Functional management in terms of engineering support resource on behalf of the Head Technical Support
- To manage the delegated authority and engineering processes/procedures/plans which are to be in compliance with Engineering FGM on behalf of Head of Technical Support.

**RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION**
- Support all Prime Contract Technical Engineering Support Management activities associated with Typhoon Programme which includes Technical Product Integration, Process/Procedure Developments & improvements. The role will assure that the total technical and maintenance solutions, when integrated together, meets the Customers intended use and has a sustainable through life plan.
- Manage governance to ensure that a suitable and appropriate engineering management system meet the BAE Systems Saudi Arabia Engineering Functional Governance Manuals (FGM).
- Support customer RSAF Directorate of Aeronautical Engineering (DoAE) and Directorate of Aeronautical Maintenance (DoAM) interface and support wider Typhoon Programme Technical Support team responsibilities. This requires a frequent engagement to ensure the Customers Engineering and Integrated Through Life Support Requirements are captured, understood, documented and appropriately flowed down to the product and service providers.
- Manage Engineering Support which include people availability and continued development across the Typhoon Programme. In addition, ensuring that key technical roles are identified and SQEP within the organisations. That includes all individuals holding these roles are licensed through appropriate governance routes and that these delegated authority flow down is documented.
- Understanding of System Engineering, Through Life Capability Management and Integrated Business Model and convert these into the solutions required (including Organisations, People and Processes).
- Be innovative & capable to create new processes and generate innovative solutions where an existing solution does not exist.
- Influencing is required in this role both externally and internally
- Understanding the role of Prime Contractor.
- Very good overall and broad engineering expertise, familiar with the whole lifecycle.
- Be capable of managing complex engineering issues and influencing the Customer and Supplier(s).
