By aligning and simplifying our work, our Integrated Diagnostic Solutions (IDS) business unit aims to drive growth and innovation around everything from integrated specimen management to diagnostic solutions.

**About the role**

A Product & Application Specialist will be responsible for supporting the IDS (Microbiology and Molecular Solutions) business throughout the Western & Southern Region in Saudi Arabia. They will work on developing and completing projects along with implementing complete lab solutions to align with BD IDS strategies to expand in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

**Main responsibilities will include**

• Promote best practice and BD solutions to key opinion leaders and key decision leaders in relation to features, advantages and benefits of BD solutions.
• Strong after sales support and troubleshooting for Microbiology and ability to focus on project completions.
• Ensuring customer support for all phases of project implementation including after sales and complete Lab Solutions.
• Knowledge and implementation of LIS reporting and communication related to microbiology processing and reporting.
• Support teamwork and the sharing of ideas/information between teams & ensuring BD's professional and ethical standards are maintained.
• Increase and leverage knowledge on BD Bactec MGIT and tuberculosis in general to support business goals and objectives.
• Support marketing activities and strategies towards product segmentation and expansion by market mapping.
• Focus on quality assurance/control, safety management, inventory control, and product management.

**About you**

• Degree level, either in microbiology or medical laboratory sciences.
• Experience working within a laboratory, preferably in Microbiology & have a sound knowledge in bacterial identification and susceptibility testing and exposure to IT and LIS (Laboratory Information System)
• Proven ability in marketing new laboratory equipment, validation/integrate instruments, and processes, resolving customer queries, and consistently following up to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Understand Microbiology Workflow Processes, Validation, LIS workflow and reporting to understand complete microbiology workflow needs and KPI's.
