The Civil Engineer takes on the Lead Engineer role and is responsible for the development of related tests and processes, as well as the design and analysis of materials.

Major Responsibilities:

- Project Management and Lead Engineer role
- Coordinates and produces structural designs, plan sheets, drawings, detailing, and design of building structures
- Works with Residential, Industrial, Commercial and Institutional projects
- Develops and administers construction schedule monitoring and reporting processes for the Project Management Team, as well as directs and oversees junior engineers
- Selects and implements internationally recognized Project Management Information Systems required to support project controls reporting
- Ensures the timely preparation and exchange of project information between the project functional groups including engineering, procurement, logistics, accounting, individual project sites and sub-contractors
- Plans and manages project schedules and budgets
- Monitors all sub-contractors performance and actual progress against the project schedule
- Identifies all cost and/or schedule trends that may adversely affect project progress, contractual commitments, cost and earned value forecasts
- Regularly updates the project schedule and provides 6-8 weeks schedule forecasts/ outlooks
- Assists the Project Manager, Contracts Specialist, and Site Managers to resolve change orders and critical path issues with the sub-contractors
- Recommends remedial measures to resolve project variances, where appropriate
