The Director of Manufacturing has the overall responsibility and accountable for the Manufacturing Division of the Company, ensuring effective and efficient use of facilities and staff.
The Director of Manufacturing will provide the strategic and tactical responsibility for implementing the manufacturing strategy and operational goals to achieve the Company goals and exceed customer expectations for product quality, cost and delivery, maximizing efficiency, optimizing production levels and driving operational excellence.
**Responsibilities**:
l Overall responsibility for Manufacturing activities across the business, ensuring production, performance, and quality standards are consistently met.
l Reviews production reports to ensure safety, quality, financial, and delivery goals and standards are met.
l Ensures a healthy and safe working environment, and compliance with company and state regulations, through collaboration with environmental, health, and safety staff.
l Assists the Executive Team with long-range operating goals, expansion efforts, and implementation of new and advanced technology.
l Identifies and shares training opportunities for staff to build and improve skills.
l Organizes departmental management structure and teams for optimal, efficient operations.
l Works with the Executive Team to develop the operating budget.
l Delivers progress and production reports to the executive.
l Supervises equipment purchase, maintenance, and layout.
l Performs other related duties as assigned.
l Comply with company policy and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
l Trains and develops reportees through performance management and succession planning.
l Propose, prepare and execute initiatives to enhance profitability.
l Ensure to maximize production efficiency as well as optimize manpower usage.
ا Facilitate and supervise new R&D project transition to manufacturing processes.
**Requirements**:
**Relevant experience required**:
- At least ten years of experience in manufacturing and/or industrial management required.
- Demonstrable experience of leading a manufacturing function with a proven track record in strategic manufacturing leadership delivering effective manufacturing strategies, policies, processes and systems
- Ability to add value, reduce costs and make business improvements
- Proven project management and build quality experience
- Experience of operating and influencing at a strategic level
- Knowledge and technical understanding of steel manufacturing processes, components and manufacturing techniques
- A proven history of successful leadership
**Relevant skills required for the job**:
- Excellent organizational and managerial skills with an appreciation of and an ability to positively resolve issues arising from different cultures.
- Thorough understanding of the policies and practices used in the manufacturing division.
- Ability to set long-term goals and communicate them to others.
- Ability to motivate and organize multiple efforts to accomplish goals
- Possess a collaborative mindset and work well as part of a team
- Up to date on industry trends, as well as laws and regulation's
