Regional Lead PMO

Primary Purpose of the Position:
The Regional Lead PMO is responsible for working collaboratively with the Business Lines to maximize PMO business performance and ensure sub-sector teams work together to deliver key outcomes for multi-sector opportunities and clients. This position will help drive optimal resource utilization and the delivery of expertise to ensure the best outcomes for projects and clients. It will oversee key client activities in conjunction with sector leadership, work with sub-sector leadership on single and multi-sector major pursuits and coordinate and lead opportunities and Client activities within the Region where they track across sub sectors.

Reporting to the PMO Global Director Controls and functionally to the Regional Lead I+E (AMEP), and Regional Lead B&C (AMEP), the position provides leadership and commercial expertise, coordinated support for client and project initiatives, and reporting and business development activities for the Business Line within the Region.

Key Activities:

- Supports the PMO Business Line in providing leadership and operational direction.
- Supports the PMO Business Line and regional managers in coordinating and prioritising the regional support services to the Business Line.
- Grow the PMO Business Line through strategic global Client Relationship Management (CRM) and Business Development.
- Maintains knowledge internally and externally of the Business Line businesses and sub-sectors so as to provide appropriate advice, leadership, consultation and expertise to relevant Leaders.
- Provides a key client facing and business development function for the Business Line for major pursuits and projects and for cross/multi-sector pursuits and projects, and the same within sectors/sub-sectors in lieu of or where substantive resourcing does not enable efficient responsiveness.
- Provides parallel and additional hands-on leadership and management and operational support and oversight including operating at Project Director and/or Steering Committee level and similar where appropriate, where significant risk management is required or where service delivery is/could be compromised.
- Participates in committees, meetings and other events that provide oversight of Client and market needs, and where required provides support for reassignment of staffing.
- Maintains oversight of and tracks cross-selling across business lines, sectors and country borders and ensures suitable operating agreements are in place across all interfaces.
- Maintains oversight of utilisation levels and directs, guides and works with the sectors to ensure performance and opportunity optimisation.
- Supports and where necessary leads management of commercial risk, insurance matters, claims and negotiations etc.
- Plays a key procurement function and is delegated authorisation for some strategic and Region based operational expenditure that is not directly related to a particular sub-sector portfolio.
- Performs analysis and key performance reporting as requested by Regional Leads in relation to regional facilities, assets and similar.
- Escalation points for cross-sector P&C matters within the Region.
- Participates in all planning and consultation with business partners to ensure alignment and appropriate conduct of all activities relevant to the Region
- Liaises with Senior Executive Directors, Executive Directors and Regional Directors to align operational and client services to the needs of business support services and plays an important consultation role in the achievement of administrative and support services.
- Leads and gives oversight to the Regional PMO Client Relationship Management (CRM) program.
- Provides leadership to the transitioning of client relationships in the Region while preserving regional value to clients.
- Assists in the development of strategic and annual plans of the Business Line and Sectors in the context of the Region.
- Coordinates the marketing activities for the region to all clients within the Region that operate across Sectors to ensure consistent and organised marketing approach, data collection for opportunities and blue sky, and reviews EOI’s and proposals within the requirements of the delegations.
- Is responsive to resource gaps during transition and where clarity of accountability is being developed post new operating model changes.
- Actively facilitates a cohesive team culture across the sectors and prevents ‘silo behaviour’.
- Is a key client liaison for clients who work across multiple sectors.
- Enhances all SJ brands through professional bodies and thought leadership engagements and activities.
- Identifies acquisition targets in conjunction with sub-sectors and works with business line leadership to execute/convert.
