Job Summary:

We are seeking a Chief Accountant to oversee the financial operations of our company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of success in managing financial processes and reporting. The Chief Accountant will be responsible for managing the company's financial activities, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and providing strategic financial guidance to the executive team.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations of the company, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and general ledger

- Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports, providing insights and recommendations to the executive team

- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations

- Manage the budgeting and forecasting process, working closely with department heads to develop accurate and achievable financial plans

- Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all financial reporting

- Monitor cash flow and manage the company's cash position, making recommendations for improvements as needed

- Conduct regular audits to identify and address any financial discrepancies or issues

- Provide leadership and guidance to the accounting team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement

- Stay up-to-date on changes in accounting standards and regulations, and ensure the company's financial practices are in compliance

- Collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure accurate and timely completion of audits and tax filings

- Participate in strategic planning and decision-making processes, providing financial insights and projections to support business growth and profitability

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

- CPA or equivalent certification is highly preferred

- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in accounting, with at least 3 years in a leadership role

- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards, as well as financial reporting and analysis

- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning

- Proficient in accounting software and MS Office

- Excellent leadership and communication skills

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines

- Experience in the manufacturing or distribution industry is a plus

- Fluent in both English and Arabic
