Job Purpose

Responsible for handling and analyzing large datasets to uncover trends and growth opportunities while ensuring data accuracy and efficiency across internal systems. Collaborates with stakeholders to gather requirements, deliver insights through reports and visualizations, and supports data-driven decision-making through optimized data handling and documentation.

 
Key Functional Responsibilities
  • Support management in CI/CD pipelines and ETL/ELT tools (e.g., Talend, Informatica, Azure Data Factory, Google BigQuery).
  • Evaluate internal systems for efficiency, problems, and inaccuracies; develop and maintain protocols for handling, processing, and cleaning data for Data Marts.
  • Work directly with managers and users to gather requirements, provide status updates, and build relationships.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain leading-edge analytics systems; solve complex problems and build simple frameworks.
  • Assist in designing and architecting comprehensive data integration solutions in collaboration with network and application engineers.
  • Identify trends and opportunities for growth through analysis of complex datasets.
  • Create best-practice reports based on data mining, analysis, and visualization.
  • Provide source-to-target mappings and information-model specification documents for datasets.
  • Optimize API gateways, ETL/ELT processes, and Pub/Sub systems to ensure data consistency and integrity.
  • Integrate data using various protocols (REST, SOAP, GraphQL, Kafka) and virtualization platforms (e.g., Denodo).
  • Support data quality, integrity, publication, and visualization across hybrid environments (on-premises and cloud).
  • Build and maintain Data Marts to support a Data-as-a-Service (DaaS) model.
  • Utilize machine learning techniques and algorithms for advanced analytics.
  • Deliver statistical and analytical visualizations using tools like Power BI and Tableau.
  • Provide technical guidance on data suitability for analytics and visualization.
  • Apply scripting and programming skills (Python, R, Java, SQL) for data wrangling, scraping, and analysis.
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, and analysts to align data solutions with business needs.
  • Ensure adherence to governance standards in data and analytics management.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of data sources, selection criteria, assumptions, and statistical models.
  • Document data flow cadence, protocols, and integration details to ensure transparency and compliance.
  • Contribute to the architectural strategy and roadmap for the Data & Information domain.
  • Provide regular updates on data visualization and analytics project progress and outcomes.
  • Lead planning and execution of group-wide data analytics and insights initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities for improving data interpretation, integration, and analytics processes.
  • Stay current with emerging trends in data analysis, visualization, and machine learning.
 
Job Requirements

  • Education:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
    • Certification in Azure cloud is an advantage.
    • Certification in machine learning & AI is an added advantage.

  • Experience:

    • Minimum 5 years in a relevant field.
    • Proven track record in designing and implementing data analysis strategies and data management processes.
    • Hands-on experience with Power BI and Tableau.
    • Advanced knowledge of virtualization technologies and platforms (ODBC/JDBC for Virtualization, Denodo).
    • Familiarity with industry-specific data analytics & statistical builds and relevant experience in B2B & B2C, CX of high-traffic data or e-commerce (advantageous).
