Role Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled IT Pre-sales Engineer who will bridge the gap between technical and commercial team. You will engage with prospects and existing clients, understand their needs across IT infrastructure, security, software and AI, understand and design then propose tailored solutions, and support deal closure. You must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, consultative sales environment and have excellent technical, communication and decision-making skills.
Key Responsibilities
Work alongside with other team members to identify opportunities, qualify leads and define customer requirements.
Conduct technical discovery, needs analysis and propose solution architectures covering:
IT infrastructure: networking, data centre, cloud, LAN/WAN, VPN, IP Telephony.
Security solutions: firewall, network security, email/internet security, backup/recovery.
Security: Surveillance solutions (CCTV), Access control system
Software/ERP and AI-enabled solutions – assess business processes, recommend software platforms, automation and AI enhancements.
Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, demonstrations and proof-of-concepts.
Build relationships with key stakeholders (technical and business), articulate value propositions and business outcomes.
Collaborate with partner vendors and internal delivery teams to ensure smooth transition from sale to implementation.
Generate and maintain accurate technical and sales documentation, solution specs, and assist in tender/RFI responses.
Drive towards deal close: identify objections early, propose alternatives, negotiate technical scope and support commercial discussions.
Provide market and competitor insight regarding software, infrastructure and AI trends to support product road-map and sales strategy.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field.
Certifications with known IT brands its products and solutions
Minimum 3-5 years of pre-sales / solution engineering experience within IT infrastructure, security, software & ERP (preferably in the Middle East).
Strong knowledge of: networking, data center, cloud services, firewalls, backup & recovery, ERPs and AI solutions.
Excellent communication skills (English required; Arabic is a strong plus). Ability to explain complex technical solutions in business terms.
Proven track record of supporting and closing deals — you know how to move from qualification to close.
Quick decision-making and high sense of ownership: you anticipate client needs, act proactively and handle ambiguity.
Comfortable presenting to C-level and technical audiences.
