Job Purpose
As Senior Manager, Disaster Recovery & Capacity Management, you will own the strategy, architecture and operational lifecycle for IT resilience and capacity assurance across the enterprise. You will lead the design, deployment and continuous optimization of a robust disaster recovery (DR) framework and a forward-looking capacity management discipline, ensuring that the organization (SOPC) maintains the ability to sustain business continuity, scale infrastructure in support of growth, and respond to unplanned disruptions with speed and confidence.

Job Specific Accountabilities
Disaster Recovery (DR) Planning & Management

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive disaster recovery strategy covering all critical systems, data, and infrastructure.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments, business impact analyses, and DR plan reviews to ensure ongoing relevance and effectiveness.
  • Coordinate with IT and business stakeholders to define recovery objectives (RPO, RTO) and ensure they meet operational needs.
  • Lead regular DR testing exercises, analyze outcomes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain DR documentation and ensure staff awareness and training on DR procedures.

Capacity Planning & Optimization

  • Monitor system performance, storage, and network capacity across all IT environments.
  • Develop and implement proactive capacity planning models to ensure scalability and optimal resource utilization.
  • Forecast infrastructure requirements based on business growth, new projects, and emerging technologies.
  • Collaborate with IT teams and vendors to optimize cost efficiency without compromising performance or resilience.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting

  • Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) for DR and capacity management, ensuring transparent reporting to senior leadership.
  • Provide regular status reports on capacity utilization, DR readiness, and risk exposure.
  • Recommend and implement performance improvements based on trend analysis and predictive insights.

Risk & Compliance Management

  • Ensure DR and capacity management practices comply with SOPC's cybersecurity, governance, and risk management policies.
  • Work closely with the Information Security team to align DR processes with data protection and security requirements.
  • Participate in internal and external audits, ensuring proper documentation and corrective actions where required.

Stakeholder & Vendor Coordination

  • Engage with business units to identify critical systems and prioritize recovery efforts.
  • Coordinate with third-party service providers to ensure alignment with SOPC's DR and capacity objectives.
  • Represent IT in cross-functional business continuity committees.
