Senior Contracts Specialist (PMS Project)

Responsibilities:

FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides support in sub-contracting activities and preparation of procedures and requirements in support of the project objectives.
  • Provides support in formulating and issuing contracts of medium/small size scope.
  • Provides support in pre-qualification and preparation of lists of tenderers.
  • Assists in receiving and evaluating quotations.
  • Provides support in preparation summaries and letters of recommendations.
  • Assists in preparation of contracts and tender documents.
  • Assists in posting awards, administering contract and monitoring contractors' performance and conformance to commercial terms.
  • Provides support, as required in interacting with end-user departments to comply with terms, revisions and amendments.
  • Participates in contract termination, claims or disputes settlements according to delegated authority.
  • Leads negotiations with subcontractors/suppliers to meet Project specified budgets.
  • Acquires budgetary quotations for ER Estimates.
  • Assists in conducting close-out review and processing back-charges.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

Requirements:

  • BS Business Management/Administration or related field with 10 years or High School with 12 years of significant experience.
  • Has experience in the oil/gas, hydrocarbon, refinery, offshore, or infrastructure industries and has project contracting experience on medium to large projects.
  • Must have thorough knowledge of project contracting practices and methods and administrative procedures and guidelines.
  • Solid background in the related disciplines of contracts, expediting, logistics, and materials and quality control.
