Job Summary:

The Production Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and improving production processes to ensure efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality manufacturing operations. This role focuses on process optimization, equipment performance, production planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and monitor manufacturing processes to achieve production targets.

Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and implement solutions for process improvement.

Ensure production activities comply with quality, safety, and environmental standards.

Coordinate with maintenance teams to minimize machine downtime and ensure equipment reliability.

Support new product introduction by preparing process layouts, tools, and production documentation.

Participate in root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions for production issues.

Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.

Work closely with design, quality, and procurement teams to ensure smooth workflow and production efficiency.

Monitor and optimize material usage and production costs.

Implement Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives (5S, Kaizen, etc.).

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related field).

Minimum of 2–5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.

Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, production planning, and process optimization.

Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement tools.

Proficient in CAD software and production management systems (ERP/MRP).

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
