What You'll Do

• Piping Design & Engineering:
  Develop, review, and optimize piping layouts, BFDs (Block Flow Diagrams), P&IDs (Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams), and 3D models for turbine piping and associated systems (e.g., steam, condensate, cooling water, fuel).
• Stress Analysis:
  Conduct detailed piping stress analysis using relevant software (e.g., Caesar II, Auto Pipe) to ensure compliance with international codes (e.g., ASME B31.1, B31.3), account for thermal expansion, vibration, and imposed loads.
• Material Selection:
  Specify appropriate piping materials, valves, fittings, and supports based on process conditions, temperature, pressure, fluid compatibility, and project specifications for turbine systems.
• Support Design:
  Design and specify pipe support systems (fixed, spring, constant force hangers) to manage stresses, manage dynamic loads, and ensure structural integrity.
• Technical Documentation:
  Prepare and review technical specifications, data sheets, isometric drawings, material take-offs (MTOs), and construction packages for piping installations, with particular attention to turbine interconnections.
• Vendor & Contractor Coordination:
  Work closely with equipment vendors, fabricators, and construction contractors to ensure piping design intent, quality, and constructability align with project requirements.
• Site Support & Troubleshooting:
  Provide technical support during fabrication, installation, hydro-testing, and commissioning phases, resolving field issues related to turbine piping systems.
• Compliance & Safety:
  Ensure all piping designs and installations strictly adhere to relevant industry codes, standards, safety regulations, and client-specific requirements.

What We're Looking For

• Extensive Experience:
  6-8 years of progressive hands-on experience in Piping Engineering, with a minimum of 4 years specifically dedicated to turbine piping and related systems within power plant projects (combined cycle, conventional thermal, etc.).
• Industry Expertise:
  Deep understanding of power plant piping systems, including high-pressure steam lines, condensate, feed water, cooling water, and fuel gas/oil piping for GT/ST/HRSG units.
• Technical Proficiency:
  Proven hands-on experience with piping design software (e.g., AutoCAD Plant 3D, SP3D, PDMS) and advanced piping stress analysis software (e.g., Caesar II, Auto Pipe).
• Technical Acumen:
  Strong grasp of ASME B31.1 (Power Piping) and ASME B31.3 (Process Piping) codes, material specifications, and pipe support standards.
• Problem-Solving Excellence:
  Exceptional analytical skills, troubleshooting capabilities, and attention to detail required for complex piping design and field issue resolution.
• Educational Background:
  Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Mobility:
  Willingness to be site-based Dammam, KSA, as required for project needs, and immediate availability to join.
