Job Summary

Cashier receive daily statement report from the registration clerks assigned from various departments and checks from customers/clients (Insurance and Direct Companies) received by accounting section. To prepare all cash and checks received for bank deposit.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensures through his actions, either directly or indirectly, that a superior quality of medical treatment, compassion and understanding is given to every patient served at the NMC Hospitals and Clinics.
  • Receives cash or checks or completed credit card transactions from the Registration Clerks.
  • Counts money to verify amounts received.
  • Compares totals on cash register with amount of currency in register to verify balances.
  • Endorse checks and lists total cash and checks to the Head of Cashier for bank deposit.
  • Compiles collection, disbursement, and bank reconciliation reports.
  • Performs additional tasks and duties as assigned by Superiors.
  • Deposits on daily basis all above mentioned Cash receipts on the following day in the Hospital Bank Accounts.

Qualifications:

A minimum of:

Two (2) years experience as a cashier.

Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
