Job Purpose

We are looking for an experienced Architectural BIM Drafter to join our team on a high-impact project focused on standardizing engineering practices, unifying technical codes, and developing a comprehensive standards manual.

The ideal candidate will bring deep knowledge of BIM drafting principles, multidisciplinary coordination, and engineering documentation—with a strong understanding of how international and local codes integrate within BIM environments.

This role demands precision, technical maturity, and an ability to work closely with engineers, BIM specialists, and design professionals to ensure the development of consistent, compliant, and efficient design documentation practices.

Key Responsibilities/Deliverables:

• Collaborate with engineering and BIM leadership teams to review, consolidate, and standardize technical design and drafting practices across all disciplines.
• Support the creation of a unified Technical Standards Manual covering CAD/BIM workflows, drawing conventions, and modeling protocols.
• Develop standardized BIM templates, families, annotation symbols, and title blocks aligned with project and organizational requirements.
• Ensure alignment with international standards and local codes (e.g., ASHRAE, NFPA, ISO 19650, and relevant national guidelines).
• Produce and maintain high-quality BIM drawings, layouts, and detailed models for MEP and infrastructure systems.
• Implement consistent naming conventions, layer structures, and LOD specifications across BIM files.
• Conduct model quality checks and audits to ensure compliance with established standards.
• Work with BIM Modelers, Coordinators, and Engineers to refine drafting workflows and document templates.
• Serve as the reference point for drafting-related queries, standards interpretation, and documentation best practices.
• Participate in interdisciplinary coordination sessions to ensure drawing consistency and standard adherence.
• Verify that all drawings and BIM outputs meet project-specific quality benchmarks and code requirements.
• Contribute to the review and update of BIM execution plans (BEPs) and drawing standards documentation.
• Support internal QA/QC processes by documenting deviations, improvements, and corrective measures.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum of Ten (10) years of professional experience in BIM drafting and documentation within engineering or construction sectors.
• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Drafting, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience in developing or implementing design/drafting standards and manuals.
• Familiarity with ISO 19650, CDE environments, and QA/QC processes for BIM documentation.

Required Skills and Competencies:

• In-depth knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, and other relevant BIM drafting tools.
• Strong understanding of engineering design standards, drawing conventions, and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Proven ability to translate complex technical information into clear, standardized documentation.
• Solid grasp of local and international technical codes and their application in design documentation.
• High attention to detail, organization, and version control.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
