Project Director – Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

A leading contracting company in Riyadh is seeking an experienced Project Director to lead and oversee major projects from initiation to successful delivery.

Role Overview

The Project Director will drive strategic planning, execution, and completion of multiple projects, ensuring alignment with company goals, timelines, budgets, and quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, operational excellence, and the ability to manage complex, high-value projects.

Key Responsibilities

Lead project planning, define objectives, scope, schedules, budgets, and KPIs.

Provide strategic direction and ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements.

Supervise and mentor Project Managers and site teams, ensuring clear communication and coordination.

Act as the primary liaison with clients, executives, consultants, and key stakeholders.

Oversee budget planning, cost control, resource allocation, and major financial approvals.

Identify risks, lead mitigation planning, and ensure adherence to QHSE standards.

Conduct weekly performance and coordination meetings with project teams and upper management.

Ensure high-quality deliverables through audits, inspections, and continuous improvement.

Lead project reporting, governance, and close-out documentation.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related field (Master's preferred).

Proven experience of at least 10 years as a Project Director or Senior Project Manager in the contracting or construction sector.

Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.

Expertise in budgeting, cost control, risk management, contracts, and claims.

Solid knowledge of QHSE standards and regulatory compliance.

Proficiency with project management software (MS Project, Primavera, etc.).

Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams across multiple large-scale projects.
