Quality Assurance Engineer

IBSF has enhanced it is capabilities over the years to cater for all commercial and industrial fabricated steel requirements of international EPC contractors as well as local general contractors.

Job Purpose:

Ensure that the company's operations, products, and management systems comply with social responsibility, corporate governance, and sustainability standards — in line with national regulations, international frameworks (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 26000, ESG, GRI), and client requirements.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Social Compliance:

• Conduct regular audits on labour rights, human rights, and ethical practices (working hours, wages, non-discrimination, health & safety, etc.).
• Implement and monitor compliance with Saudi Labor Law and AIG/IBSF HR policies.
• Prepare documentation and evidence for SMETA / SA8000 / ISO 26000 audits.
• Coordinate with HR for training, grievance handling, and employee well-being programs.
• Ensure no child labour / forced labour and maintain diversity & inclusion records.
• Monitor community impact and CSR-related activities.

2. Governance Compliance:

• Support implementation of corporate governance policies aligned with AIG & IBSF's ERM / GRC frameworks.
• Maintain documentation for board, compliance, and risk review.
• Monitor adherence to anti-bribery (ISO 37001), conflict of interest, and code of ethics policies.
• Participate in risk assessment workshops, ensuring ESG risks are captured in the risk register.
• Prepare governance compliance reports for management and external auditors.

3. Sustainability & Environmental Compliance:

• Monitor compliance with ISO 14001, ESG, and environmental regulations (waste management, emissions, water, energy).
• Collect and analyses data for carbon footprint, energy intensity, water usage, and waste generation.
• Support sustainability reporting (GRI, SASB, or internal AIG Sustainability Report).
• Verify suppliers' sustainability compliance (recycled materials, green procurement, etc.).
• Work with projects to ensure compliance with MODON / RC / SEC / Aramco environmental requirements.

4. Quality Assurance & Integration:

• Integrate ESG and sustainability metrics into QMS (ISO 9001) and audit checklists.
• Conduct internal audits on ESG & governance KPIs.
• Support management review meetings with compliance dashboards and improvement actions.
• Ensure document control and traceability of all sustainability and social compliance records.
• Participate in corrective action plans for social/governance audit findings.

Education & Certifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (Industrial, Environmental, or any related field).
• Certified in ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO Lead Auditor preferred).
• Additional certification in ESG / Sustainability / ISO 26000 / GRI / ISO 37001 is a plus.

Required Experience:

• Minimum 4 years of experience in Quality or Compliance Engineering within manufacturing or industrial projects.
• Experience with corporate ESG reporting, supplier audits, or social compliance programs.
• Good understanding of KSA environmental and labour regulations.
• Experience in data collection and reporting for ESG indicators.

Required Skills:

• Excellent analytical and reporting skills (Excel, Power BI), and capable of writing sustainability performance reports and compliance summaries.
• Strong communication and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
• Good understanding of
  governance frameworks and audit processes.
