About Our Client
Our client is a fast-growing company within the Retail sector. The Head of IT will be based in Riyadh.

Job Description
The Head of IT will be responsible for:

  • Developing and executing the company's IT strategy aligned with overall business objectives
  • Building and leading a dedicated IT department, transitioning from a support-based setup to a strategic function
  • Partnering with executive leadership, finance, and operations to identify and prioritise technology initiatives
  • Leading the end-to-end selection, implementation, and integration of a new ERP platform (SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics 365)
  • Ensuring alignment between IT systems and core business processes including retail operations, supply chain, HR, and finance
  • Overseeing IT operations the head office and retail branches, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security
  • Managing vendors and outsourced partners, particularly for eCommerce and in-store technologies
  • Implementing best practices in network security, data protection, and business continuity planning
  • Establishing IT policies, standards, and governance frameworks to support operational excellence
  • Ensuring compliance with local data regulations and cybersecurity standards

The Successful Applicant
The Head of IT should will be/have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Master's preferred)
  • 10+ years of IT experience, of which at least 4+ years must have been in managerial/leadership roles
  • Proven track record of implementing ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft D365) from scratch
  • Experience working in mid-sized organisations undergoing rapid growth or digital transformation
  • Retail industry experience is highly desirable.
  • Experience supporting IPO readiness or working in a pre-IPO company is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and vendor management
  • Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL, CISSP, TOGAF) are an advantage
  • Fluent in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills; Arabic is a plus
  • Based in or willing to relocate to Riyadh
