Scope of Work: IT Engineer / IT Specialist (3+ Years Experience)

Overview: The IT Engineer/Specialist is responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and optimal performance of the organization's applications, network, and IT infrastructure. The role involves implementation, maintenance, troubleshooting, documentation, and continuous improvement of IT systems to support business operations effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Application Management

  2. Deploy, configure, and maintain business-critical applications and related services.

  3. Collaborate with application owners and vendors to ensure system reliability and performance.

  4. Perform routine updates, patching, and version upgrades.

  5. Monitor application performance and address incidents in a timely manner.

  6. Participate in vulnerability remediation and ensure compliance with security standards.

  7. Network Administration

  8. Manage and maintain LAN, WAN, VPN, and firewall systems.

  9. Monitor network performance, bandwidth usage, and connectivity issues.

  10. Implement and enforce network security policies and access controls.

  11. Troubleshoot network outages and coordinate with service providers as needed.

  12. Support implementation of secure and scalable network architectures.

  13. Infrastructure & Systems Operations

  14. Maintain servers (physical and virtual), storage systems, and cloud infrastructure.

  15. Perform regular system health checks, backups, and recovery tests.

  16. Implement IT automation and optimization initiatives.

  17. Ensure system uptime and resource availability for business continuity.

  18. Assist in capacity planning and infrastructure scaling based on organizational needs.

  19. Security and Compliance

  20. Support vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation with relevant teams.

  21. Implement endpoint protection, access management, and data security measures.

  22. Ensure adherence to company IT security policies and best practices.

  23. Support and Collaboration

  24. Provide Level 2 and Level 3 technical support to internal users.

  25. Document system configurations, procedures, and change logs.

  26. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on IT-related projects and improvements.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in IT operations, including application, network, and infrastructure management.

  • Strong understanding of operating systems (Windows/Linux), networking fundamentals, and cloud technologies.

  • Experience with virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V), firewalls, and monitoring tools.

  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and implement effective solutions.

  • Good communication, documentation, and project management skills.
