Client for Kafaat is looking for English Translator :

Job Purpose:

The Translator will play a key role in facilitating precise and professional communication between Arabic and English within a highly technical and government-facing environment. The role ensures accurate translation of sensitive documents, technical reports, and official correspondence, supporting executive teams and project operations in defence and security sectors.

Responsibilities:

  • Translate complex technical, contractual, and bid documents between Arabic and English with high linguistic accuracy and contextual understanding.
  • Prepare and translate formal government letters, communications, and official submissions addressed to senior officials such as ministers and deputy ministers.
  • Support executive leadership during meetings through live interpretation, ensuring clarity and confidentiality.
  • Review, proofread, and edit translated materials to maintain consistency, tone, and technical precision.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure translations align with industry terminology and company standards.
  • Provide on-site translation and interpretation support during internal and external meetings when required.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, English Language, or a related field.
  • Fluency in Arabic and English
    (spoken and written) is mandatory.
  • Strong command of technical and industry-specific terminology, particularly within
    defense, aviation, and security sectors.
  • Proven experience in translating
    government correspondence
    and high-level
    bid documentation
    .
  • Skilled in
    live interpretation
    for senior executives and high-profile meetings.
  • Excellent written communication skills with strong attention to linguistic and cultural nuances.
  • Minimum
    10+ years
    of relevant experience for senior positions, and
    7+ years
    for mid-level translators.
  • Ability to attend meetings and provide on-site translation when required.
