Key Responsibilities:

  • Design & Engineering:
     Develop detailed HVAC and chiller system designs, calculations (cooling/heating load, hydraulic analysis, ventilation), and specifications tailored for high-rise structures.
  • Chiller Plant Expertise:
     Design and specify central chiller plants, including water-cooled and air-cooled chillers, cooling towers, pumps, and associated piping systems.
  • System Integration:
     Ensure seamless integration of HVAC systems with other building services, including BMS (Building Management Systems), Fire Protection, and ELV systems.
  • Project Management:
     Manage projects from conception to completion, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Technical Oversight:
     Review shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements from contractors to ensure compliance with design intent and project specifications.
  • On-Site Supervision & Commissioning:
     Lead the installation, testing, balancing, and commissioning of all mechanical systems. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues on-site.
  • Compliance & Standards:
     Ensure all designs and installations comply with local codes, international standards and sustainability goals (e.g., LEED).
  • Client & Stakeholder Coordination:
     Liaise effectively with clients, architects, main contractors, and internal teams to ensure project objectives are met.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of 
    5-7 years of proven experience
     in HVAC design and engineering, with a 
    specific focus on high-rise buildings
     (commercial, residential, or mixed-use).
  • In-depth, hands-on experience with large-capacity chiller systems
     (screw, centrifugal, absorption) and central plant design is mandatory.
  • Proficiency in HVAC design software (e.g., HAP, Carrier E20-II, CHVAC) and strong skills in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit MEP is a significant advantage.
  • Profound understanding of the static pressure, ventilation, and thermal load challenges specific to tall structures.
  • Excellent knowledge of district cooling systems (DCP) is highly desirable.
