Job Summary:

The Sales Manager - MEAT Ingredients will be responsible for driving market growth and achieving sales targets within designated territories. This includes identifying opportunities, building a strong sales pipeline, negotiating deals, and providing technical expertise to customers. They will also focus on expanding market penetration, managing customer relationships, handling complaints, and ensuring efficient payment collection, all while contributing to strategic planning and quality initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To sustain and grow the Meat ingredients business in the designated markets .
  • Map and identify the key opportunities in the market.
  • Identify and generate a healthy pipeline in the assigned territory.
  • Provide inputs for finalizing the sales targets, budgets and plan activities to achieve the set objectives.
  • Negotiate and close the Sales.
  • Take proactive initiatives to find unmet customer needs and work on providing solutions.
  • Work from the market and maintain close contact with customer and introduce new food ingredients / flavors / commodities concepts.
  • Effective management of projects.
  • Acquire product knowledge and advise the customers wherever necessary. Support the team with technical inputs and revert to the customers on technical queries by conducting lab / industrial trials with the customer.
  • Increase market penetration and coverage by targeting small and medium food companies in the assigned territory.
  • Efficiently handle customer complaints and escalate sensitive issues to the senior management.
  • Generate sales reports and other relevant reports for further actions & future actions and reference. Effectively use CRM system.
  • Ensure effective implementation of quality initiatives.

Person Specifications:

Education:
Preferably a Food Science, , Science (Chemistry), or related graduate.

Experience:
7-10 years of relevant industry experience.

  • Highly motivated and driven ("hungry").
  • Strong persuasion and influencing abilities.
  • Excellent relationship building skills.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Proven ability to prospect and acquire new customers.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Proficient in project management.
  • Effective presentation skills.
  • Working knowledge of the food & beverage ingredients industry and its business operations in the Middle East.
