Duty Engineer

Join our pre-opening Engineering team at Jayasom Wellness Resort Amaala. The Duty Engineer (Mechanical) supports the Head of Engineering in overseeing mechanical systems, ensuring high-quality operations, maintenance, and compliance with safety standards. The role involves supervising contractors, managing preventive maintenance, and supporting the resort's sustainability and wellness goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the operation, maintenance, and repair of all mechanical systems and facilities.
- Coordinate with contractors and departments to ensure smooth, safe, and efficient operations.
- Monitor construction quality, equipment performance, and preventive maintenance schedules.
- Support energy-saving initiatives and continuous improvement of systems and facilities.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and Jayasom's safety and hygiene standards.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Excellent teamwork, leadership, and good English communication skills (verbal and written).
- Proficient in reading technical drawings, schematics, O&M manuals, and Microsoft Office.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in the hospitality sector.
- Proven experience in maintenance or engineering in a resort/hotel
- Experience working with multicultural teams
