Accounting Manager

Job Summary:

The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulations, and effective internal controls. This role will manage a team of accountants, coordinate audits, and support senior management with financial planning and analysis to drive strategic decision-making and meet the highest quality in analyzing the vision and future outcomes of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and lead the accounting team in daily operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.
  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and management reports.
  • Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities.
  • Monitor and analyze accounting data to produce accurate financial reports.
  • Assist in budget preparation, forecasting, and financial planning.
  • Ensure strong internal controls are in place to safeguard company assets.
  • Provide training, mentoring, and performance evaluations for accounting staff.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial information and support decision-making.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification preferred).
  • Proven experience as an Accounting Manager or in a similar role (typically 7+ years in accounting/finance).
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or equivalent) and MS Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
