Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Marine Maintenance Technician based in Jubail. The Marine Maintenance Technician will be responsible overseeing the inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all vessels, boats, and associated machinery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marine engineering, with expertise in preventive maintenance, major overhauling, and fault-finding for engines, propulsion systems, and heavy machinery. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, the ability to work as part of a team, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and operational efficiency.

Job Accountabilities

Preventive Maintenance

• Conduct inspections and preventive maintenance on all vessels and boats as per the 
  Preventive Maintenance Schedule
   (PMS).
• Perform daily, weekly, monthly, and hourly scheduled maintenance tasks (e.g., 100 hrs., 250 hrs., 500 hrs., 1000 hrs., etc.) in accordance with the 
  Technical Service Manual
  .
• Ensure all maintenance activities are completed as per vessel availability and operational requirements

Fault Finding & Repairs

• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on vessels and equipment
• Perform repairs, major overhauls, and top overhauls on
• Main Engines (M/E)
• Variable Pitch Propellers (VSP)
• Z-Peller/Rex Peller, Aqua Master systems
• Auxiliary Engines
• Hydraulic Towing Winches
• Pumps and other heavy machinery
• Work collaboratively as part of a team to complete complex repair and overhaul tasks.

Specialized Maintenance Tasks
:

• Conduct 
  crankshaft deflections
   and 
  ovality tests
   for all tugboat main engines as part of the 2500-hour preventive maintenance schedule
• Perform complete overhauls on specific engines and systems, such as:
• M/E (Wartsila) and Aqua Master systems
• (Deutz), J-27, and J-26 Main Engines, VSP, and Turbo Couplings
• MAN, engines on Pilot Boats and Mooring Boats (top overhauls)

Spare Parts Management

• Prepare and submit 
  spare parts requests
   for engines, VSP, AQM, Z-Peller/Rex Peller, pumps, and other engineering store items
• Maintain and update 
  data sheets
   for all engines, machinery, and equipment to facilitate quick reference for spare parts requests and emergency requirements

Reporting & Record-Keeping
:

• Monitor and record running hours, oil age, and oil grades for all engines and machinery.
• Prepare and submit 
  weekly reports
   on maintenance activities, oil changes, and overhaul schedules.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all maintenance, repairs, and overhauls.

Who should Apply?

• Education
  : Diploma or degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience
  : Minimum of 5 years of experience in marine maintenance, with a focus on vessel engines, propulsion systems, and heavy machinery
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of marine engines (e.g., Wartsila, Deutz, MAN) and propulsion systems (e.g., VSP, Aqua Master, Z-Peller/Rex Peller).
• Knowledge in Microsoft Office
