Scope of the position

The ideal candidate must excel in creating technical documentation
, including user manuals, installation guides, reports on technical topics, and MS Visio diagrams. They should be able to
understand complex technical information and present it in a clear, concise, and user-friendly manner
. The role requires someone who can work
independently as well as collaboratively
within a team environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of
    5 years of experience
    as a Technical Writer within an Information Technology organization or department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain
    user manuals
    ,
    installation guides
    , and
    API documentation
    for enterprise software products.
  • Collaborate with software engineers and SMEs to document new features and product updates with accuracy and clarity.
  • Create and maintain
    MS Visio diagrams
    to visually represent technical processes and architectures.
  • Implement and maintain documentation templates and style guides to ensure consistency across all materials.
  • Manage documentation projects from initiation through completion, meeting all deadlines and quality standards.
  • Conduct user testing and gather feedback to improve documentation usability.
  • Maintain documents in a centralized repository, ensuring timely revisions and version accuracy.

Technical Competencies

  • Writing & Editing:
    Advanced technical writing skills with strong command of grammar, tone, and clarity.
  • Research & Analysis:
    Ability to break down complex technical concepts and simplify them for diverse audiences.
  • Technical Tools:
    Proficiency in Microsoft Office and
    MS Visio
    ; familiarity with documentation platforms and version control tools is a plus.
  • Communication:
    Strong interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Attention to Detail:
    Exceptional accuracy and consistency in documentation.
