Key Accountabilities

  • Establish the
    semantic layer
    as the enterprise
    Single Source of Truth (SSOT)
    .
  • Deliver
    faster, more accurate dashboards
    for executives and business users.
  • Provide
    curated datasets
    for at least
    3 AI/ML pilots
    and
    2 advanced data products
    .
  • Achieve measurable
    BigQuery cost optimization
    .
  • Integrate at least
    one unstructured/semi-structured data source
    into governed models.
  • Deliver clear
    documentation, blueprints, and governance playbooks
    as project outputs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop the
    Enterprise Data Architecture blueprint
    (Landing, Raw, Curated, Semantic, Sandbox layers).
  • Define and maintain
    enterprise data models
    (conceptual, logical, physical).
  • Establish and enforce
    data governance standards
    , lineage, and
    business glossary frameworks
    .
  • Design, implement, and expand the
    semantic layer
    serving as the
    enterprise SSOT
    .
  • Deliver
    governed data marts
    and
    curated datasets
    for AI/ML and advanced analytics use cases.
  • Align
    KPIs and definitions
    across business units for consistency in reporting.
  • Ensure architectural compliance with
    PDPL
    and
    NDMO
    regulatory frameworks.
  • Implement
    role-based access controls
    ,
    PII masking
    , and
    auditable security
    mechanisms.
  • Drive
    BigQuery cost optimization
    through partitioning, clustering, and caching.
  • Reduce
    reporting cycle time
    and enhance
    dashboard accuracy
    .
  • Enable
    data monetization
    through reusable datasets and APIs.
  • Incorporate
    unstructured/semi-structured data
    (e.g., IoT, documents, logs) into governed models.
  • Collaborate with
    Data Quality, Data Science, and RPA teams
    for cross-functional enablement.
  • Conduct
    workshops
    and provide
    best-practice guidance
    to internal teams.
  • Mentor junior analysts
    and support internal capability building.

Knowledge and Experience

  • 8+ years in
    Enterprise Data Architecture
    and
    Data Modeling
    .
  • Proven experience in delivering
    data marts
    and
    semantic layers
    at scale.
  • Expertise with
    cloud-native data platforms
    (preferably
    Google BigQuery
    ).
  • Strong knowledge of
    metadata management
    ,
    lineage tracking
    , and
    governance frameworks
    .
  • Familiarity with
    Saudi regulations
    – PDPL, NDMO, and
    regulatory compliance projects
    (SAMA, IA, SDAIA).
  • Proficient in
    data classification
    ,
    security controls
    , and
    PII protection
    .
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and ability to lead
    cross-functional alignment
    .
  • Experience in
    insurance or financial services
    domains.
  • Exposure to
    data monetization
    and
    API marketplace
    strategies.
  • Knowledge of
    AI/ML platform integration
    (Vertex AI, SageMaker, etc.).
  • Demonstrated
    mentoring and knowledge transfer
    abilities.
