General Authority

Responsible for analyzing methods of installing electro-mechanical products in the vehicle, without negatively impacting the vehicle operation, through expert diagnostics.

1. Oversee and perform the installation process to confirm how and where the component is to be fixed to the vehicle, without negatively impacting the vehicle and other component operations.

2. Perform the installation procedures to ensure the installation methods developed meet and/or exceed guest/user expectations.

3. Conduct diagnostic of the component to identify the cause, repair works to be done and parts to be replaced through technical evaluation and comparison of competitors' products.

4. Maintain safety measures in the process by ensuring the car manufacturer's warranty is not compromised and the vehicle to be in good condition during the installation procedures

5. Work and liaise with vendors to intimately understand the component(s) installation by developing effective and efficient operational procedures for the installation and service of the component(s).

6. Liaise with vendor(s) to develop publication of technical, service, and repair manuals and related documentation of the component and installation procedures.

7. Engage major OE distributors in the area to understand and discuss ways of getting approval for installation of components in non-Toyota vehicles.

8. Liaise with TSO and/or other organizations to secure product approvals through proper and effective networking and interaction

9. Responsible to perform final inspection on the installation method to ensure compliance to TSO and/or other organization expectations, as well as customer satisfaction.

10. Implement procedures for training field technicians for installation and trouble-shooting of the component(s).

11. Implement and monitor installation process, service procedures and repair manuals for the component(s) to safeguard associates from untoward incidents

Vocational/ Technical school graduate or equivalent.

Minimum of 6 years' experience in automotive; computer literate
