JOB PURPOSE:

The senior internal auditor is responsible for performing individual internal audit projects, as part of the total internal audit plan. Additionally, performs follow-up on the status of outstanding internal audit issues. Preparing the required audit program, working paper, sampling business understanding, and identifying related risks to conduct audit assignments. Preparing preliminary reports and discussing them with the internal audit manager. Train and follow up with junior internal auditors, and conduct meetings with personnel subject to audit scope.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1- Adhering to the International Professional Practices Framework standards

2- Assist the internal audit manager in updating the Internal Audit charter, manual, and annual audit plan to ensure the availability of Audit scopes, responsibilities, and management expectations.

Assist in conducting special assignments and investigations as instructed by the audit manager, to support drawing a proper conclusion.

3- Undertake comprehensive planning and risk assessments related to each assignment to understand the control gaps and areas for improvement, and ensure that the engagement identifies potential business risks, ensuring maximum payback from the assignment.

4- Conduct a full cycle of internal audit assignment and ensure compliance with established internal controls and best practices.

Implement the audit plan, including, as appropriate, any special tasks or projects requested by the internal Audit Manager.

5- Perform announced and unannounced visits of physical count activities as instructed to deliver reasonable assurance of the conducted procedure.

6- The recommendations are clearly and agreed upon by management, and a subsequent audit report is issued promptly. Facilitates in implementation of all agreed-upon recommendations are subsequently followed

7- Review the work performed by junior internal auditors, and provide appropriate supervision to improve and develop their performance. Assisting junior auditors with solving problems or obstacles to execute audit tasks.

9- Internal audit manager in the requirements for the activities of the Audit.

Reviewing the draft audit reports and all outputs before submitting them to the audit manager for final approval, before sending and presenting them to auditees or assigned parties.

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • +3-6 years of private industry experience with knowledge of accounting, finance, and internal control areas.
