Job description:

Job Purpose

Supervise and conduct testing activities for received materials, ensuring that all materials meet company requirements and compliance standards.

Key Accountability Areas

Work Deployment:

  • Delegate works to technician and helpers as directed from QC Laboratory – Senior Engineer / In Charge.
  • Creating Serial number as reference/representative of the produce product during the process for reporting and documentation purposes (internal/external usage)
  • Demolding reference for prestressed elements prior to being released and cut.
  • Advise technician to test compressive strength test (7 and 28 days or as per client requirement)

Marking of sample specimen:

  • Advise technician to prepare materials to perform concrete trial mix for the project and related requirements for continuous improvement.

Concrete Order Verification:

  • Approving/Confirmation of Concrete Order for batch plant used if it is as per the approved concrete mix design.

Material Receiving:

  • Review Supplier/Delivery documents against Purchase Order and Log to Material receiving once accepted.

Material Testing:

  • Material Testing for internal requirements
  • Sieve analysis - clay lumps - sand equivalent - L.A. Abrasion
  • Specific gravity and absorption.

Role Accountability

HR Proficiency:

  • Training subordinates and forming a team to get the work effectively.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to subordinates in all aspects of their work.
  • Delegate sub-ordinates in each respective assignment.
  • Ensures fair distribution of tasks to maintain morale and motivation of subordinates.

Delivery:

  • Perform the planned activities to meet the operational and development targets as per delivery schedules.
  • Utilize resources effectively to achieve objectives within efficient cost and time.
  • Provide a periodic report formatted by detailing the deviation and execution of planned tasks.

Problem-Solving:

  • Resolve any related problems that arise and escalate any complex operational issues.

Quality:

  • Ensure quality requirements to develop effective quality control and processes including specifications for products or processes or related activities.

Business Process Improvements:

  • Coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, procedures, and seeking automations opportunities as much as possible.

Compliance:

  • Comply with related policy and procedures and work instructions.

Safety:

  • Ensure compliance of relevant safety, quality, and environmental management procedures and controls within defined area of work activity to guarantee safety, legislative compliance, and delivery of high-quality products/services.
